The representatives of AKKORK took part in the expert session on the topic «Modern approaches to quality assurance of preparation and demand of graduates in the context of modernization of professional education» organized by the Chamber of commerce and industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan (CCI RB) in association with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Ufa State Academy of Economics and Service (USAES). Present at the meeting were: Minister of Education of the Republic of Bashkortostan A.S.Gayazov, Vice-president of the Chamber of commerce and industry A.D.Nikin, USAES Rector ad interim N.Z.Solodilova. Business and organization managers, institutions of higher, secondary and elementary professional education.

21.03.12 the meeting of chairmen and members of the Advisory Council and AKKORK Accreditation Council along with AKKORK general management with the Education Committee Chairman of the State Duma A.N.Degtyarev took place. The representatives of AKKORK described the approaches of AKKORK in the sphere of independent evaluation of education quality and independent education programme accreditation, AKKORK experience and quality criteria. Besides the relevant issues of education quality development, including the legislative approach, were discussed.

Within the framework of the strategic cooperation between AKKORK and FIBAA, in the period from 14 to 15.03.2012 a workshop on the topic “Criteria of FIBAA International Accreditation” took place. The moderator and presenter of the workshop were a special representative of FIBAA professor Heinz-Ulrich Schmidt and regional manager Lilli Schmidt. On the part of AKKORK project managers as well as certified AKKORK reviewers in the spheres of economics, management, law, social work took part in the workshop. Besides FIBAA accreditation criteria, there were examined typical problem areas in education quality assurance and education quality guarantee in Russian and world practice.

The agreement on the cooperation between the AKKORK, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Ufa State Academy of Economics and Service concerning the formation of the modern system of independent evaluation of education quality in the republic, socio-professional accreditation of professional education programmes and alumni qualification certification was signed on 28.02.12. The key direction of the cooperation will be the creation of AKKORK department in the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The purpose of the MapESG Launch conference was to present and discuss the findings of the project “Mapping the implementation and application of the ESG in the EHEA” (MAP-ESG) and the recommendations to the Bologna ministerial conference 2012 on further development of the ESG. In accordance with Yury Borisovich Rubin’s personal initiative in abdication of Accreditation Council Chairman, upon consultation with the AKKORK Supervisory Board, Sergey Valeryevich Korshunov, professor in MSTU n.a. Bauman, vice chairman of the Academic and Methodological Association for Engineering Education, is appointed new Accreditation Council Chairman.

The meeting of the AKKORK Accreditation Council took place on February 15, 2012. Within the context of the meeting there were examined expert opinions on the results of external independent evaluation of education quality and education quality assurance within the context of realization of basic educational programmes of higher professional education and basic professional secondary educational programmes realization of two federal educational institutions and five public educational institutions of secondary education in Moscow. Besides, the Accreditation Council members examined the results of the meeting of the AKKORK Expert board of 10.02.12, including the recommendations of Expert board members concerning possible variants of accreditational decisions. Subsequent to the results of the meeting, the members have taken accreditational decisions on the evaluated programmes.

The workshop of the AKKORK representatives, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bashkortostan Republic and Ufa State Academy of Economics and Service concerning the formation of modern system of independent assessment of education quality, socio-professional accreditation of professional education programmes and alumni qualification certification. The meeting of the AKKORK expert board on expert opinion review regarding the results of the external independent evaluation of education quality and education quality assurance within the context of basic educational programmes of higher professional education and basic professional secondary educational programmes realization of two federal educational institutions and five public educational institutions of secondary education in Moscow took place in the lecture hall of Higher School of Economics on February 10 at 11.00. Subsequent to the results of the meeting board members have defined recommendations for accreditation council members in reference to possible accreditation decisions on programmes evaluated.
