4th International Forum on “The quality assurance in vocational education”09.11.09

From the 5th till the 7th of November, 2009 at the Russian academy of State Service under the President of the Russian Federation was held the 4th annual international forum on “the quality assurance in vocational education”. The forum was attended by the government representatives, acknowledged Russian and international scientists, rectors of the leading Russian universities and representatives of the Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance and Career Development (AKKORK). The meeting was aimed at the unification of the efforts of state authorities and management, various educational institutions and socio-professional organizations, as well as the entire educational community, whose activities are aimed at the quality assurance of vocational education. The rector of the Moscow financial-industrial Academy – Rubin Y.B delivered a speech on the “Public quality assessment of higher education: Status and Prerequisites of Development”, which covered the criteria and tools of external quality assessment and assurance of education, applied by the AKKORK agency, as well as principles of cooperation with educational institutions. During the forum there had been also discussed best practices and innovative approaches, aimed at the improvement of vocational education quality.
