On September 27 – 29, 2009 AKKORK took part in the 3rd International Conference “Moscow Education Online” dedicated to the issues of E-learning quality. The most pressing problems of the E-learning in Russia and its solutions had been raised. Particular interest aroused questions of an independent quality assessment and assurance in E-learning. The round table of the conference, set up by AKKORK, participants had a possibility for discussion, experience exchange and for finding solutions to the problem of an educational audit development. There had also been considered areas of AKKORK activity in assessing the quality of E-learning and heard a report of V.A. Samoilov on “The establishment of educational institutions for external quality assessment in Russia”. At the conference presided Chief Executive of the AKKORK agency – Belokopytov A.V. Of particular interest was the initiation of the international accreditation of the E-learning program of EFQUEL. Chief Executive of the AKKORK as the official provider of the UNIQUE program in the Russian Federation, invited the representatives of Russian universities to participate in the discussion and announced conditions and basic procedure for the accreditation process. While discussing “Quality assurance mechanisms for E-learning: The European dimension”, the Chairman of the Supreme Advisory Council – Shadrikov V.D – brought up a new point at issue of various possibilities in quality assurance and assessment of educational institutions. There had been placed a visual stand of AKKORK on which all the participants could get acquainted with its achievements in assessing the quality of education. One of the outcome of the conference was the presentation of the AKKORK agency with the accreditation certificate of testing laboratory within Inkomtekhsert, which grants the right to assess E-learning technology and software in education and to conduct audit of the quality management in universities in compliance with ISO with further certification in the Inkomtekhsert system.
