Online visit of AKKORK agency and ACPUA agency reviewers' team to RUDN University.04.12.20

From November 30 to December 3, within the framework of the procedure of external education quality assessment and preparation for international accreditation of the higher educational programs an online visit to the RUDN University (Peoples' Friendship University of Russia) was held.


Four RUDN educational Master degree programs are submitted for accreditation: 

  • International Private Law; 
  • Global Security and Development Cooperation; 
  • Foreign language of professional communication and specialized translation; 
  • Mathematical Models in Interdisciplinary Researches.
The reviewers' team was formed by the Russian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Career Development AKKORK and Aragon Agency for Quality Assurance and Strategic Foresight in Higher Education ACPUA*.

The international team of reviewers consisted of:

Celso Rodriguez, Professor for Mathematics at the Universidad of Santiago de Compostela (USC). He has been Dean at the Faculty of Mathematics and Vice-President for Academic Affairs at USC. Expert and reviewer for the Portuguese national agency A3ES and several Spanish agencies (academic representative);
Ernesto Estrada, PhD in Chemistry, Senior Researcher, Aragon Foundation for Research and Development (ARAID). Member of the Institute for Applied Mathematics (IUMA),University of Zaragoza. Honorary Research Professor, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Strathclyde. Elected Full Member of the International Academy of Mathematical Chemistry (2005), National Prize of the Cuban Academy of Science (1998) (business/industry representative);  
Olga Yusupova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Vice-Rector for Academic Work, Head of the Chair of Higher Mathematics, Samara State Technical University (academic representative);
Diego J. Sanchez, Double Degree in Physics and Mathematics from the Complutense University of Madrid. Member of the Advisory Committee of the Agency Unibasq. Member of the ACPUA’s Evaluation Committee for accreditation of study programmes in Sciences (representative of the student community); 
Andy Tunniclife, Vice-Rector for Internationalisation at the San Jorge University (Spain) between 2013 and 2020. Former Head of the Office for Modern Languages and Head of the Quality Assurance Unit at the same university (academic representative); 
Robin Halle, Retired Head of Language Services, World Trade Organisation (WTO). WTO representative in the Universities Contact Group at IAMLADP (business/industry representative); 
Irina Tupitsyna, Doctor of Philology, Professor, member of International Association of Professional translators and interpreters (academic representative); 
Laura Peiró, Graduated in Modern Languages from the University of Zaragoza; has been member of the ACPUA’s Board of Directors (representing the students) and Vice-President of the Conference of representatives of students from the Spanish universities (CREUP) (representative of the student community); 
Sergio Salinas, Professor for International Law and International Relations at the University of Zaragoza, where he directs the Office for Cooperation since 2016. Former director of the Office for the Quality of Teaching at the University of Zaragoza (academic representative); 
Juan Carlos Gavara, Law Professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Former director of the Department for Public Law and Political Sciences (UAB). Member of the national evaluation Committee accreditation of study programmes at ANECA (academic representative); 
Olesya Zasemkova, Phd in Law, senior lecturer of the Chair of Private International Law, Scientific Advisor of the International Business Law Master program, Kutafin Moscow State Law University (academic representative); 
Alexander Sauer, Lawyer. Head of Business Development at Enerparc AG (Hamburg) (business/industry representative); 
María Jesús Blanco, Ph. D. Student at the Institute for Private Law, University Pablo de Olavide, holds a Law Degree and a MBA Degree from the University Pablo de Olavide. Member of the Institutions Evaluation Committee of ACPUA (representative of the student community); 
Elena de Mier, Coordinator of the partnership Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECD) – Fundación ACS (Madrid) since 2013. Participant in the Programme Tandem – Coopération Culturelle France – Rwanda (business/industry representative); 
Yulia Kiseleva, PhD in International Relations, lecturer and seminar leader, Faculty of Political Science, Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences (academic representative); 
Gabriel Lozano, Ph. D. Student at the Department of Business Sciences of the University of Murcia. Member of the Board of Directors (representative of students) of the University of Murcia (representative of the student community). 

The work of the reviewers lasted for four days, during which there were meetings with program's Heads and Teaching staff involved in the implementation of the program, an online tour of laboratories and classrooms, meetings with employers, students and alumni. 

The decision on the international accreditation is expected in December 2020. 

* Aragon Agency for Quality Assurance and Strategic Foresight in Higher Education , ACPUA - is the official agency for the evaluation of higher education in the Autonomous Community of Aragón (Spain). ACPUA mainly develops technical quality assurance activities, such as evaluation, assessment, certification and accreditation. This public service is complemented with strategic foresight and research, as well as with activities to promote a culture of quality in higher education within the region. ACPUA is registered in EQAR, and is an ENQA member. 
AKKORK Director General Erika Soboleva joined the ACPUA Commission on Evaluation, Certification and Accreditation this April. The Commission is responsible for developing and improving the methodological framework and rules for technical assessment, attestation and accreditation of the quality of higher education.
