INQAAHE tailor-made training "Research Quality Framework: assuring research excellence in higher education institutions" 29.05.20
On May 20, 2020, the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), as per the request of the Mongolian National Council for Education Accreditation and Higher Education Institutions, conducted a webinar training "Research Quality Framework: assuring research excellence in higher education institutions". The webinar was held as part of a series of specialized webinars organized by INQAAHE at the request of INQAAHE members dedicated to various aspects of internal and external quality assessment. The workshops are organized taking into account the members' requests, thus providing ready-made customized recommendations and solutions, tailored to the needs and peculiarities of a particular country.
Over 300 representatives of Mongolian universities participated in the workshop. The President of INQAAHE, Susanna Karakhanyan, along with the INQAAHE Board members - Erika Soboleva, Director General of the Russian agency AKKORK and Angela Hou Yung Chi, Executive Director of the Higher Education Evaluation & Accreditation Council of Taiwan delivered the training.
The workshop was devoted to INQAAHE's global research on the quality of education; key concepts and definitions, as well as international quality assurance standards for research carried out in the world were addressed. The webinar offered ready-made practical solutions that can be later used by Mongolian universities, and also covered 2 cases, one of which was delivered by the Higher Education Evaluation & Accreditation Council of Taiwan, the other - by the Russian agency AKKORK.
Erika Soboleva, Director General of AKKORK, told about the quality assurance system of research used by the agency, which includes such assessment criteria as evaluation of the Teaching staff and their involvement in research, teaching and learning materials, information resources, facilities and equipment, conducted research work, students' participation in the management of the educational program and implementation of research and other criteria that allow to provide a comprehensive and credible assessment of the research carried out in the HEI.
