During the online visit, experts interviewed faculty administration, heads of programs, students and employers, and also conducted a direct assessment of graduates' competencies.
Institutional accreditation implies a detailed review of the entire teaching and research unit. FIBAA experts assessed whether the following departments of the university in general and the faculty in particular meet European standards: Mission and profile of the university, Management and quality management, Teaching and research, Support processes, Resources, Publications. In this regard, the expert team met online with representatives of the management of SPbU of all significant and involved in the educational process structural management units.
Institutional accreditation corresponds to the usual international "Benchmarks", which allow to determine the quality of implementation of the processes of an educational organization outside national borders. Therefore, this procedure is especially relevant for internationally-oriented higher education institutions.
So far, the experts have expressed preliminary results of the review of the program and the institutional activities of the academic and research unit of SPbU Faculty of Law. In the coming months, the members of the review team will be working diligently with documents, and upon the results of this work the final report will be made.
The decision on international accreditation is expected in February 2021.
