ONLINE VISIT OF AKKORK AND ASSOCIATION «ERA-ROSSII» REVIEWERS' TEAM TO В NATIONAL RESEARCH UNIVERSITY «MOSCOW POWER ENGINEERING INSTITUTE»04.11.21
On November 03-04, within the framework of the procedure of external education quality assessment for international and professional-public accreditation of higher educational programmes an online visit to the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI) was held.
Four educational programmes are submitted for international and professional-public accreditations:
- Distribution electrical networks.
- Electrical equipment and electric facility of enterprises, organizations and institutions.
- Water and fuel technology in power engineering
- Fossil and nuclear power plants.
The international team of reviewers consisted of:
Babakhodzhaev Rakhimzhan – doctor of technical science Associate Professor, Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimova, Professor of the Department of Heat Power Engineering (representative of the international community).
Zharmagambetova Meruert – candidate of technical sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Plasma Physics and Computer Physics, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (representative of the international community).
Sidorkin Vladimir – PhD, member of the board, executive director of ENTEH Engineering AS (representative of the international community).
Ziganshina Svetlana – candidate of technical sciences, Associate Professor, Deputy Head of the Department of Thermal Power Plants, head of the educational programme (bachelor's degree) in the field of studies – Power Engineering, «Power equipment for thermal and electric generation facilities» profile, Samara State Technical University (representative of the academic community).
Rozhentsova Natalya – candidate of technical sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Electrical Equipment and Electrical Equipment of Enterprises, Organizations and Institutions of Kazan State Power Engineering University (representative of the academic community).
Taylasheva Tatyana – сandidate of technical sciences, Head of the educational programme in the direction of «Power Engineering» (bachelor's degree). For several years, a member of the Organizing Committee of the International Conference of Students and Young Scientists «Modern Techniques and Technologies», Tomsk Polytechnic University (representative of the academic community).

Ivanov Oleg – Deputy Head of the Rosseti Personnel Training Center (representative of the employers' community).
Gadelshina Vilena – 4th-year undergraduate student in the direction of "Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering", Kazan State Power Engineering University (representative of the student community).
Doronin Artyom – 1st year master’s student, studying at Samara State Technical University at Design, operation and engineering of power supply systems programme (representative of the student community).
During the visit, the experts noted the high level of the students and graduates’ knowledge, as well as the close relationship between MPEI and employers, as a result of which students have the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice during their studying. Due to the practical orientation of the programmes, by the 4th year of the bachelor's degree, students are deeply immersed in the profession and can get a job right after graduation. Master's students usually combine study and work.
In turn, during the visit, representatives of the employer community draw attention to the fact that graduates quickly go through the adaptation at the workplace and demonstrate a high level of training. This proves the importance and effectiveness of close cooperation between universities and employers.
The decisions on the international and professional-public accreditations are expected in December 2021.
