As part of the IX National Congress "Modernization of Russian industry: Priorities for Development" held on 6-7 October 2014 a Joint Meeting of the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation on promotion of professional and business education, and the Joint Meeting of the Committee of Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation on promotion the Modernisation and Technological Development of Russia's Economy were held, which was attended by Sergey Anisimov, Director General of the Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance and Career Development (AKKORK).The meeting discussed a wide range of issues, from ensuring key sectors of the economy with qualified personnel, establishing a national system of qualifications and competences, mechanisms for the implementation of inter-university network of educational programs to professional standards as benchmarks for the system of education, science, and social and professional certification of highly qualified specialists, as well as professional and public accreditation of educational programs such as the control of the education system and the basis for the formation of the institution of public education quality control.
